NEW JVC DISPLAY TECHNOLOGIES AT CES 2009
JVC demos extreme technologies including flexible systems with separate Slim TVs and source boxes, clutter free wireless Full-HD, leaps in performance and dramatic slim designs
LAS VEGAS, January 7, 2009 – At the launch of its 2009 product line, JVC today also revealed several future display technologies and designs.
Slim Display Systems with Modular Components
(42” class LT-42WX70 display and design study mockups with other separate components)
JVC today announced plans to market a new LCD TV system comprised of the 42-inch class super slim LT-42WX70 and a separately available tuner that can be integrated into the display’s stand. To demonstrate possible expansions to that concept, JVC showed how other components, such as a Blu-ray player, hard disk personal video recorder or internet box could also be integrated into the system.
The LT-42WS70 with the TU-CX100 HD Digital Analog tuner box features an expanded color space wider than typical HDTVs, ideal for accurate reproduction of video and still photographs from digital cameras including high end digital SLRs.
Full-HD wireless transmission
JVC demonstrated wireless transmission of full HD video between HD sources and an HDTV, while maintaining the highest picture and sound quality.
LED Backlight Slim LCD
The use of LED backlight in an LCD TV provides two key benefits: the technology provides much higher contrast ratio and a much wider color gamut, and does so while consumer less power than today’s conventional LCD TVs.
Next Generation Super-Thin LCD Technology
JVC showed next generation super-thin LCD technology in a 32 inch display featuring a new optical system and modular LCD construction. Super-thin and light at .28 inch (7mm) and 11 lbs (5kg), the energy efficient LCD makes flexible visual environments possible.
